2025 Annual Award Ceremony and REAP Fundraiser
You are cordially invited to attend our 2025 Annual Award Ceremony, at Evangeline Downs, in Opelousas, LA on August 2, 2025. This year’s ceremony will once again be in conjunction with the REAP Fundraiser. This fundraiser is held each year to raise money to assist the Chaplain, Dwight Brown, provide relief to those of the licensed Evangeline Downs community who may need assistance in some way. Things we may take for granted; others find as a blessing.
Awards will be presented to the breeders and owners of the outstanding accredited Louisiana Bred Horses of 2024. From 4:00pm till the completion of the final race of the evening, Mojo’s at EvD will be the site as awards will be presented to the owner of the leading Stallion, the owner of the Broodmare of the Year, the Leading Breeder of 2024, as well as the High Percentage Breeder of the Year. Cocktail foods will be served, and seating will be available on a limited basis. The entertainment for the evening will be provided by The Coteau Grove Project.
