Graded Winner Fort Bragg To Enter Stud At Louisiana's Robicheaux Ranch In 2026

Fort Bragg will be offered to both Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse mares, with a special incentive for younger breeders

Grade 3 winner Fort Bragg will begin his stud career at Robicheaux Ranch in Breaux Bridge, La., for the 2026 breeding season, BloodHorse reports.

The 5-year-old son of Tapit was purchased by the Round Potrero partnership for $175,000 following this year's Keeneland November Horses of Racing Age Sale after he finished under his reserve in the ring.

He will be made available to both Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse mares, standing for an advertised fee of $1,700 for Thoroughbreds and $700 plus fees for Quarter Horses. Round Portero will also offer complimentary Thoroughbred seasons to breeders aged 35 or younger.

Fort Bragg won five of 17 starts during his on-track career, earning $596,915. His resume is highlighted by a victory in the Grade 3 Dwyer Stakes as a 3-year-old, and he went out a winner in May after taking the St. Matthews Overnight Stakes at Churchill Downs.

Fort Bragg is out of the stakes-winning Shanghai Bobby mare March X Press. Grade 1-placed stakes winner Two Out Hero can be found in his extended family.
