Our Moneyman Soars to $2 Million at Fasig-Tipton July HORA Sale
(Clear Creek Stud - Folsom, La.) - While we normally are reporting on the races of the Clear Creek Stud stallions, today we are proud and amazed at the sale result of the last horse to sell today at the Fasig-Tipton Horses of Racing Age Sale. Our Moneyman, a multiple stakes winning son of Mr. Money, had the hammer drop after some energetic bidding by several entities at $2,000,000. This is by far the most money ever paid for an Accredited Louisiana Bred. Our Moneyman had just finished second in the GIII Indiana Derby, beaten by just a neck. Previous to that he was second in the Matt Winn Stakes (GIII) which was won by Kentucky Derby favorite Further Ado. To date Our Moneyman has started nine times with three wins, five seconds and one third for earnings of $392,067. Agent Pedro Lanz signed the ticket on behalf of KAS Stables which is based in Saudi Arabia. Pedro Lanz stated that Our Moneyman would remain in the United States with his possible next start being the Pennsylvania Derby (GI).
